Sex in the Library

Full transcript

A porn video filmed in a public library? A 19-year-old girl was recently featured in a pornographic video filmed in a public library during business hours, just steps away from children.

But it gets a lot worse, because pornography isn't just infiltrating our communities, it's invading our homes. In a 2018 study reported by Psychology Today, researchers found that 98% of men surveyed, and 73% of women had viewed Internet porn in the previous six months. And according to the website FightTheNewDrug.org, an estimated 90% of children ages 8-16 have viewed porn online.

It's time that we do something about it.

Key messages

• In a recent study, 98% of men surveyed, and 73% of women, had viewed internet pornography in the previous 6 months. And an estimated 90% of children ages 8-16 have viewed porn online.
• Pornography is a widespread epidemic. We shouldn't be ashamed to talk about it. We should only be ashamed if we don't do something about it.
