Is Following Christ Enough?

Question: (Asked with great emotion) It is my desire...to follow Jesus Christ in everything I do. But I have no idea...what He wants of me or what I'm supposed to do. Is it enough that I'm willing?

Answer: We are told in the Scriptures that God is infinitely loving and compassionate toward us, His children. Psalm 103:13 says, "As a father pities his children, so the Lord pities those who fear him" (NKJV). Isaiah 66:13 says, "As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you." Given those descriptions of God as the ultimate parent, can you imagine Him ignoring your request for direction and guidance in your life? Is there even a possibility that He would say, "I don't care about her. She wants to do My will, but I'm going to conceal it from her. I'll just let her flounder"?

Not a chance! He sees those tears in your eyes. He knows the desire of your heart. And you will hear from Him--just in time to take the next step.
